IHN DRIVERS
The
Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) provides temporary
housing and education to families that suddenly find themselves homeless. This is one of the ways we, as a congregation, can better
serve God in His calling on His church.
There are
many opportunities for service through IHN. Each host week volunteers are
needed for the following:
-
Evening Hosts
(who stay overnight with the guests at the church)
-
Dinner Hosts
(who serve the evening meal and eat with the guests)
-
Meal Providers
(Volunteers cook and drop off the food at the church for dinner. A part
of the meal or a whole meal can be provided. There is a sign up
sheet prior to our rotation.)
-
Set Up/Take
Down (who help to clear the Sunday School rooms and set up/take down
bedrooms)
-
Transportation
(to and from the day center) The IHN van is provided and the drivers sign up
to transport the guests to and from the IHN Center . Guests stay
the night at the church and stay at the day center during the day.
-
Laundry (The
baskets with laundry are in the Fellowship Hall after our rotation as the
host church. The laundry needs to be taken home and washed with
detergent and bleach to sanitize.)
If you would
like to help with this incredible ministry, please contact Frank Mullikin or
Anna Bain for information.
